Aldon Automotive Performance Distributors for Triumph 1300 - 1500 with Contact Breaker Ignition: Boost your engine's potential and enhance drivability by replacing the standard distributor with an Aldon performance distributor. Designed to suit tuned engines fitted with different camshaft profiles and often twin sidedraught carburettors, our distributors offer a modified ignition advance curve for optimal engine performance. Our distributors are based on new Lucas or Bosch units and have been dyno developed to provide the correct ignition timing for various states of tune. Many versions come with an option of having mechanical advance for engines using twin sidedraught carburettors. By improving the ignition curve, these distributors increase power and responsiveness on tuned engines. Find the right distributor for your vehicle from the following options: - BMC 'A' Series - 100AY - Non-vacuum distributor for most tuned engines using camshafts such as Piper 270/285, Kent 266/276 and 286. - 100AYV - Vacuum advance distributor suitable for engines with higher compression ratios (10:1). - 100AYS - Identical to 100AY but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top, required for Sprite/ Midget applications. - 100AYSV - Vacuum advance distributor similar to 100AYV but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top. - 100AYP - Non-vacuum distributor using the later type drive dog for 'A' plus blocks in the metro. - 100AR - Non-vacuum distributor for rally and race tuned engines running on 649, sprint or supersprint type camshafts. - 100ARS - Identical to 100AR but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top. - 100ARP - Non-vacuum distributor for 'A' plus blocks in the metro, similar to 100AR but using the later type drive dog. - BMC 'B' Series - 101BY1 - Non-vacuum distributor with vacuum advance for standard MGBs and Marina TCs with HS4 SU Carburettors. Note: Later versions of these cars may require 101BY2 due to vacuum advance pipe connection change. - 101BY1S - Identical to 101BY1 but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top, necessary for some pre-rubber MGBs. - 101BY2 - Non-vacuum distributor with vacuum advance suitable for standard MGBs and Marina TCs with HIF4 SU carburettors. - 101BR1 - Non-vacuum distributor for tuned 'B' series engines using camshafts such as 714, 715, Piper 270, 285 and fitted with a side draught carburettor. - 101BR1S - Identical to 101BR1 but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top. - 101BR2 - Vacuum advance distributor for road tuned 'B' series engines using camshafts such as 714, 864, Piper 270, 285 and retaining SU carburettors. - Ford X/Flow and Twin Cam (All Lucas Based) - 103FX1 - Non-vacuum distributor for X/Flow engines with side draught carburettors but retaining the standard 'GT' camshaft. - 103FX1S - Identical to 103FX1 but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top, necessary for engines with a pair of side draught carburettors on 1100 and 1300 models. - 103FXY - Non-vacuum distributor suitable for most tuned X/Flow engines using camshafts such as A2, BCF1, Piper 270, 285, Kent 234, 244 and side draught carburettors. - 103FXYV - Vacuum distributor suitable for some X/Flow engines with twin choke down draught carburettors. - 103FXYS - Identical to 103FXY but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top, necessary for engines with a pair of side draught carburettors on 1100 and 1300 models. - 103FXYSI - Identical to 103FXYS but fitted with Aldon Ignitor electronic ignition system instead of points. - 103FXR - Distributor for race specification X/Flow engines, detailed engine specification required. - 103FXRS - Identical to 103FXR but with the distributor cap having H.T. leads coming out of the side instead of the top. - 103TC - Non-vacuum distributor suitable for most twin cam engines from standard to virtually full race. - Ford OHC (Pinto) All Bosch Units - 104FPY - Non-vacuum distributor for engines with side draught carburettors but retaining the standard camshaft. - 104FPR1 - Non-vacuum distributor for engines with modified camshafts such as Piper 270, 285, Kent RL1, RL2, Burton 32, 33 or 40, 41 etc. - 104FPR2 - Vacuum advance distributor for engines with twin chokedown draught carburettors and modified camshafts. - Ford V6 (Essex Type) - 105FV1 - Non-vacuum distributor suitable for most tuned V6 engines fitted with a modified camshaft such as Piper 270, 285, Kent V62/
