Suitable for MGB and Marina TC models with contact breaker ignition systems, they provide enhanced performance while retaining the original look of classic vehicles. Aldon distributors are based on new Lucas or Bosch units and have been dyno developed to optimize ignition curves, ensuring better engine response and efficiency.

Applications:

• 101BY1: Non-vacuum distributor for most tuned engines using camshafts such as Piper 270/285, Kent 266/276 and 286. Recommended for non-vacuum applications in MGBs and Marina TCs.
• 101BY2: Vacuum advance distributor suitable for engines with HIF4 SU carburettors, improving driveability without affecting resistance to 'run-on'.
• 101BR1: Non-vacuum distributor designed for tuned engines using camshafts such as 714, 715, Piper 270/285 with side draught carburettors.
• 101BR2: Vacuum advance distributor suitable for road-tuned 'B' series engines running standard or modified camshafts while retaining SU carburettors.

The Ignitor system is a fit-and-forget solution that fits neatly inside the distributor cap, ensuring improved reliability and better engine performance without detracting from the classic vehicle's original appearance.
