Aldon Automotive Performance Distributors are specifically designed for Ford X-Flow 103FXY engines with Contact Breaker Ignition systems.

These distributors cater to the needs of car enthusiasts who have modified their vehicles, particularly those with tuned engines that require different camshaft profiles and often twin sidedraught carburettors. The standard distributor unit may become unsuitable, resulting in an ignition curve that no longer matches the engine, leading to a loss of performance and drivability.

Aldon Performance Distributors are based on new Lucas or Bosch units and have been dyno developed to provide the correct ignition advance curve for various states of engine tune. Most versions offer a mechanical advance option for engines using twin sidedraught carburettors. This modification provides an improved ignition advance curve that matches popular camshaft upgrades, ultimately enhancing power and drivability on tuned engines.

The distributors are available with either the original style contact breaker (points) system or 'Ignitor' electronic ignition.
