Fitting a de-cat or cat bypass to a vehicle that needs to be used on UK roads will result in it failing the MOT emissions test and thus becoming unroadworthy and illegal. Additionally, installing these converters may require a remap due to different readings from the Lambda sensors in the exhaust system.
