The AIM Motorsport EVO4S Data Logger with GPS09 Module is a cutting-edge device, representing an advancement over its predecessor, the EVO4. It features an updated internal electronic board and is fully compatible with recent AIM dash/logger systems. This data logger offers a choice of ECU connections: RS232, OBDII, or CAN, depending on whether you wish to link directly to your vehicle's ECU via the OBDII port or through a direct CAN connection. The EVO4S boasts an extensive range of data sources. It samples information from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via CAN, RS232, or K-line, as well as from its built-in accelerometer and gyro. GPS data is provided by the included GPS09 module, which facilitates precise lap time calculations. Choose between cable lengths of 0.5m, 1.3m, 2.0m, or 4.0m for your GPS09 module - car/bike versions are available, along with "roof" options for easy installation on covered cars or bike fairings. This data logger includes five analogue channels with configurable 12-bit inputs (0-5V, 0-500mV, or 0-50mV) to measure temperature, pressure, suspension, and other sensors. It also features two speed inputs for monitoring wheel behaviour, one RPM input for square wave signals or pulse signals from the ECU coil command, and an internal three-axial accelerometer and gyro sensor. The EVO4S offers a digital output of 1 amp at 12 volts, which can be configured based on analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, or GPS information. It also provides a CAN output for sending messages directly to existing CAN networks, expanding the possibilities for vehicle control. With the Race Studio Analysis 3 software, you can download and evaluate recorded data, utilising graphs, histograms, and tables to improve your performance and refine your driving technique. Additionally, optional expansion modules can be integrated via the built-in CAN bus, including channel expansions, thermocouple input, lambda controllers, and onboard cameras. Please note that when using more than one expansion module, you must purchase the AIM Data Hub (CAN multiplier) to accommodate 4 CAN inputs. The EVO4S does not connect to the MXL Dash Display, GT Steering Wheel, Formula Steering Wheel (2), or G-Dash; instead, use the EVO4 data logger for these older displays.
