AIM Motorsport EVO4S Data Logger - OBDII, Car/Bike with 0.5m Cable, 0.5m Cable

The AIM EVO4S Data Logger with GPS09 Module is a cutting-edge device that represents an advancement from its predecessor, the EVO4.

It boasts the same single connector per channel configuration but comes with an entirely revamped internal electronic board, ensuring full compatibility with newer AIM dash/logger systems.

For real-time data visualisation, it can be connected to GS-Dash or Formula 3 steering wheel.

This logger offers a diverse range of connection options, including RS232, OBDII, and CAN, allowing you to link up with your vehicle's ECU via the OBDII port or directly through the CAN bus for a more customised installation.

The device samples all essential data from various sources, such as the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via CAN, RS232 or K-line, the built-in accelerometer and gyro, and the GPS09 module, which enables precise lap time calculations.

Choose from a selection of GPS09 modules, available with 0.5, 1.3, 2.0, or 4.0m cables or a "Roof" version with 2.0 or 4.0m cables for easy installation on covered cars or motorbike fairings.

Additionally, specific connection kits are available for many sports bikes.

With five configurable analogue channels (12 bit, 0-5 Volt, 0-500 mV, 0-50 mV inputs or thermocouple), two speed inputs, and a built-in inertial platform featuring an internal three-axial accelerometer and gyro sensor, the EVO4S offers comprehensive data sampling capabilities.

It also comes with a 1 amp at 12 volts digital output for configuration based on analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, or GPS information.

The EVO4S can send messages directly to an existing CAN network via its CAN output, expanding the possibilities of vehicle control.

Analyse recorded data using the professional Race Studio Analysis 3 software with graphs, histograms, and tables for performance evaluation, error identification, and driving technique improvement.

Expand functionality by adding optional expansion modules via the built-in CAN bus. These include Channel Expansion (4 0-5Volt analogue channels), TC Hub (up to four thermocouple temperature sensors), and LCU-One Lambda Controller (wide band lambda controller with Bosch LSU 4.9 probe).

For onboard data visualisation, consider integrating SmartyCam HD cameras that overlay recorded data onto videos.

Note that due to the EVO4S's limited CAN input capacity (one standard), purchasing additional expansion modules may require the AIM Data Hub (CAN multiplier) for proper functionality.

Finally, be aware that the EVO4S does not support connection with MXL Dash Display, GT Steering Wheel, Formula Steering Wheel (2), or G-Dash; for these older displays, use the EVO4 data logger instead.
