The AIM EVO5 Data Logger is a cutting-edge automotive data acquisition system that has established itself as the go-to solution for numerous racing championships. Compact, yet more powerful than its predecessor, the EVO4S, it boasts an aluminium body designed to fit seamlessly into any vehicle. Easy configuration with RaceStudio3 software ensures a quick and straightforward setup. The EVO5 comes with two multi-channel Motorsports connectors: a 37 pin connector for primary functions such as power, CAN, AiM CAN network and more, and an optional 22 pin connector for additional features like CAN2, digital outputs, and extra capabilities. The internal SD card records all vital data, protected by a waterproof door equipped with a closing sensor to prevent data loss when accessing the card. This device boasts rapid data downloading options: remove the SD card or use a USB connection for faster transfer. EVO5 records an extensive range of information: ECU data via CAN, RS232, or K-line; internal accelerometers and gyro; GPS data from the included GPS09 module; and analogue/digital inputs, external expansions, and predefined math channels. Sensors can be connected to 8 configurable analogue channels, the RPM input, and the 4 wheel speed inputs. Configure your system wirelessly via a secure 802.11 WiFi connection, even at a distance of up to 100 meters. Expand functionality with optional modules through the built-in CAN bus: add an extra 4 0-5 Volt analogue channels with Channel Expansion; use LCU-One Lambda Controller for wide band lambda control and exhaust gas temperature measurement; install SmartyCam HD cameras for video overlay of data sampled by your logger; or utilise GS-Dash to visualise all recorded data. All logged data can be downloaded to a PC and analysed using the professional Race Studio 3 Analysis software, which offers graphs, histograms, and tables to help evaluate performance, identify mistakes, and refine your driving technique.
