The AIM EVO4S Data Logger with GPS09 Module is a cutting-edge device that represents an advancement from its predecessor, the EVO4. Offering the same one-connector-per-channel connection logic, it features a redesigned internal electronic board for improved compatibility with recent AIM dash/logger models and full integration with the powerful RaceStudio 3 software. This logger is suitable for both car and bike applications and comes equipped with a 2m cable. This device allows you to view data in real-time by connecting to either the GS-Dash or Formula 3 steering wheel, depending on your preference. The EVO4S offers flexibility in terms of ECU connection, as it supports RS232, OBDII, and CAN connections for direct installation to the vehicle's ECU. The logger boasts a wide range of data sources, including information from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via CAN, RS232, or K-line, as well as data from the internal accelerometer and gyro. For GPS capabilities, there are various GPS09 module options available with cable lengths of 0.5m, 1.3m, 2m, and 4m (car/bike) or a "Roof" version with 2m or 4m cables for easy installation on covered cars or bike fairings. Specific connection kits are also available for many sports bikes. Five analogue channels allow for sampling data from various sensors, including temperature and pressure sensors, while two speed inputs help monitor wheel behaviours. The built-in three-axial accelerometer and gyro sensor offer enhanced understanding of oversteering, understeering, and banking. The EVO4S features a 1 amp at 12 volts digital output for configurable on/off control based on analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, or GPS information. A CAN output enables direct communication with an existing CAN network, expanding the possibilities of vehicle control. Data analysis is facilitated through the RaceStudio 3 software, which offers graphs, histograms, and tables for evaluating performance and identifying areas for improvement in driving technique. Optional expansion modules can be added via the built-in CAN bus, including 4 0-5Volt analogue channels for pressure, temperature sensors, potentiometers; two digital inputs for wheel speed; a thermocouple input; an LCU-One Lambda Controller; and SmartyCam HD cameras that overlay data on videos. Please note: as the EVO4S only has one CAN input as standard, additional expansion modules will require the purchase of the AIM Data Hub (CAN multiplier) for proper integration into the system. The EVO4S is not compatible with older displays such as the MXL Dash Display, GT Steering Wheel, Formula Steering Wheel (2), or G-Dash. For these devices, the EVO4 data logger is required instead.
