The AIM EVO5 Data Logger is the latest iteration of our renowned datalogger range, which has become an indispensable tool across numerous motorsport championships. Smaller and more compact than its predecessor, the EVO4S, this lightweight device is crafted from aluminium for easy installation in any vehicle. With intuitive configuration via the powerful RaceStudio3 software, setting up the EVO5 is quick and effortless. One of the main enhancements of the EVO5 is its dual multi-channel connectors: a 37-pin connector for primary applications (power, CAN, AiM CAN network, etc.) and an optional 22-pin connector for additional functions like CAN2, digital outputs, and more. The internal SD card records all necessary data, safeguarded by a waterproof door that automatically closes and saves files upon opening, ensuring no data loss. Data transfer is swift - simply remove the SD card to complete the download or use a USB connection for an alternative method. The EVO5 can capture information from your vehicle's ECU through CAN, RS232, or K-line connections; internal accelerometers and gyroscope; GPS09 module; analogue/digital inputs; external expansions; and predefined math channels. Sensors can be connected to 8 configurable analogue channels, the RPM input, and 4 wheel speed inputs. This advanced system allows for wireless data downloading over a secure 802.11 WiFi connection from up to 100 meters away. Expand the functionality of your EVO5 with optional add-ons through the built-in CAN bus, including: Channel Expansion (an additional 4 0-5V analogue channels); LCU-One Lambda Controller (a Bosch LSU 4.9 probe for air/fuel data, lambda value, and exhaust gas temperature to aid carburetion tuning); and SmartyCam HD cameras (which overlays recorded data onto video footage). All recorded data can be effortlessly downloaded to a PC and analysed using the professional Race Studio 3 Analysis software, featuring graphs, histograms, and tables for comprehensive performance evaluation. This objective insight helps eliminate errors and refines driving techniques.
