The Canton Accusump Oil Pressure Accumulators are a range of innovative oil reservoir systems designed to deliver oil to an engine before starting to eliminate dry start scuffing (pre-oiling) and to provide additional oil whenever the normal engine oil pressure drops, thereby protecting against engine damage during demanding racing discharges. These oil reservoirs come in various sizes: 3 Quart High Pressure Accusump (4 1/4" Diameter x 22" long), ideal for big cubic capacity competition engines or engines operating at high oil pressure (100 Psi+); 3 Quart Accusump (4 1/4" Diameter x 16" long), suitable for V8 and high horsepower V6 and 4 cylinder engines; 2 Quart Accusump (4 1/4" Diameter x 12" long), ideal for 4 or 6 cylinder engines as well as pre-oiling for all other engines; and 1 Quart Accusump (3 1/4" Diameter x 12" Long), suitable for motorcycle engines or pre-oiling all other engines. The Canton Accusump can be installed through a single line, connected to the return of an oil cooler or remote filter using a "T" fitting, into an input sandwich plate adaptor, or directly into one of the engine's oil galleries. Once installed, the Canton Accusump fills and discharges as needed, requiring one of three valve options: the manual ball valve for pre-oiling and surge control; electric valve for pre-oiling operation; or the EPC (Electric Pressure Control) valve for pre-oil and surge control. The unique design of these oil reservoirs allows them to charge and discharge as required, maintaining pressure under various circumstances. By providing a reserve of pressurized oil, the Canton Accusump ensures a non-scuff start by allowing the engine's bearings to be pre-oiled before starting the engine. Once started, the oil builds pressure, pumping the oil back into the Accusump for the next restart or whenever the engine's normal oil pressure drops. These innovative systems are designed to work in association with one of three valve options: the manual ball valve for pre-oiling and surge control; electric valve for pre-oiling operation; or the EPC (Electric Pressure Control) valve for pre-oliling and surge control. By simply twisting or flicking a switch, you can operate the valve before starting the engine, allowing the reserve of pressurized oil to pre-oil the engine's bearings for a non-scuff start. The Canton Accusump Oil Pressure Accumulators are available in various sizes, making them suitable for different types of engines and applications. The valves sold separately, ensure that you have the right equipment to protect your engine from damage during demanding racing discharges.
