The AIM EVO4S Data Logger with GPS09 Module - Roof Version with 4m Cable is a cutting-edge device designed for car enthusiasts seeking to optimise their driving experience. It's the successor of the renowned EVO4, featuring the same connection logic but boasting an entirely redesigned internal electronic board that is fully compatible with the latest AIM dash/logger systems and the powerful RaceStudio 3 software. The EVO4S offers a versatile range of options for data acquisition: it samples all essential information from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via CAN, RS232 or K-line, in addition to data from the built-in accelerometer and gyro sensor. The GPS09 module provides precise lap time calculations and there is a choice of GPS09 modules with cable lengths ranging from 0.5m to 4m. For easy installation on covered vehicles or motorbike fairings, roof versions with 2m or 4m cables are available. This data logger offers flexible ECU connectivity options: choose between RS232, OBDII or CAN depending on whether you wish to connect directly to the ECU through the CAN connection for a direct installation, or via the OBDII port. The EVO4S also supports real-time data viewing when connected to GS-Dash or Formula 3 steering wheel. With five configurable analogue channels (0-5Volt, 0-500 mV, 0-50 mV) and two speed inputs, the EVO4S can accommodate various sensors for temperature, pressure and other measurements. The internal three-axial accelerometer and gyro sensor enable accurate analysis of oversteering, understeering, banking, among others. The device features a 1 amp at 12 volts digital output that can be configured to respond to analogue or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values or GPS data. A CAN output enables direct communication with an existing CAN network for enhanced vehicle control possibilities. Race Studio Analysis 3 software simplifies data analysis with graphs, histograms and tables, enabling you to evaluate your performance and improve your driving technique. Optional expansion modules can be added via the built-in CAN bus to enhance functionality - choose from channel expansion, TC Hub or LCU-One Lambda Controller. Please note that when adding multiple expansion modules, an AIM Data Hub (CAN multiplier) is required if more than four inputs are needed. The EVO4S does not support connection with MXL Dash Display, GT Steering Wheel, Formula Steering Wheel 2 or G-Dash. For these older displays, the EVO4 data logger must be used instead.
