The Kumho Ecsta V70A has been developed using Kumho's vast experience in many areas of motorsport, including formula 3, sports car/production car racing, rallycross and rallying. This expertise has led to new sizes and compounds being constantly developed by their RD department. Ideal for track days, circuit racing, sprints and hill climbs, the Ecsta V70A has already proven its credentials on the track as the control tyre for various one-make series, including the Kumho BMW challenge and TVR Tasmin Challenge. As a DOT-approved tyre, it delivers excellent performance thanks to its advanced silica tread compound, which offers superior wet and dry traction and handling. The advanced directional tread design provides superior acceleration, braking and cornering, while its large lateral and centre channels allow maximum water dispersion to maintain traction in shallow standing water or damp conditions. Inside the tyre, two wide steel belts provide excellent cornering power and a stable footprint, whilst two durable nylon plies offer high-speed stability and resistance to centrifugal forces. Additionally, the Ecsta V70A is E-marked for road use and MSA List 1C approved.
