The Tillett B6 is a streamlined, narrow seat designed for use in various kit cars, sports cars, and track-oriented vehicles. Its compact design makes it an ideal choice for those with limited cockpit space. The headrest has been strategically placed to allow ample headroom even when wearing a crash helmet, while the shoulder belt holes have been configured to accommodate FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) / HANS devices. The B6 positions the driver lower in the vehicle, benefiting taller drivers and reducing the car's overall centre of gravity. Its slimline design caters to most driver shapes and sizes; standard size suits those up to 100kg with a waist circumference of 36" (91.4cm), while the XL version is suitable for drivers up to 130kg with a waist circumference of 40" (102cm). Constructed using robust twin-skin materials, the B6 provides excellent chassis feedback and maintains structural rigidity. Despite its slender profile, it offers high levels of comfort due to its body-hugging shell shape that mirrors the driver's body contours. This design ensures maximum contact with the vehicle for heightened awareness on the track or road. The B6 seat is engineered in the UK and comes standard with a Dinamica suede covered headrest pad. An additional 2-piece Dinamica trimmed pad set can be purchased separately if desired. The carbon/GRP (Glass Reinforced Polymer) construction offers an ultra-lightweight yet durable option for those seeking performance benefits. The B6's ergonomic shape provides superior lateral support with high side bolsters and impact protection for the driver's legs. Its hip holes are designed to accommodate wider lap belts, ensuring ease of use and added security. The composite shell can be configured for 40cm tubs by removing the outer edge or leaving it on to create a continuous rolled edge around the entire perimeter. Regardless of the configuration, the internal dimensions remain consistent. The B6 comes with two mounting options: side-mounted and base-mounted. For side-mount applications, specific mounts are available. Base-mounted versions can be secured using the Tillett Adjustment Seat Runner Set (available separately), which bolts directly to the underside of the seat (please note that runners must be 1cm from the underside of the seat for clearance). Both the runners and spacers are also available as separate purchases.
