The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre Heater is a highly effective solution designed to preheat engine oil prior to initial start-up. Utilizing aerospace technology, these low-profile heater pads attach to the sump pan or dry sump tank via a 'peel and stick' adhesive backing. This results in a heat-up time of 45-90 minutes, depending on ambient temperature, raising the oil to near full operating temperature. The benefits of this product include improved cold starting, reduced cold start wear, immediate lubrication, and reduced emulsification in the oil. Additionally, it reduces the strain on starter motors and batteries, and improves engine component life. The Wolverine heater pads are designed for easy installation and come with a range of accessories including a silicone heater pad, cable ties, applicator tool, silicone sealer, and instructions. For wiring purposes, the 12v DC and 24v DC versions have two wires that can be wired either way, without polarity sensitivity. The 230v/240v option requires a 13amp plug (not included) and should be wired with the center wire (green/yellow) connected to earth pin, and the other two wires connected to live and neutral pins. Apply the heater pad to the cleaned area, removing any air pockets using the application tool. 7. Seal the edges of the pad using the supplied silicone sealer and allow it to fully cure before operating the heater.
