The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre-Heater is a highly effective solution designed to preheat engine oil prior to initial start-up. Featuring aerospace technology and a low profile design, the heater pads can be easily attached to the sump pan or dry sump tank via the 'peel and stick' adhesive backing. These heater pads are capable of raising the oil to near full operating temperature within 45-90 minutes, depending on ambient temperature. The benefits of using this pre-heater include improved cold starting, reduced cold start wear, immediate lubrication, reduced emulsification in the oil, and faster attainment of full operating temperature. This results in less strain on the starter motor and battery, reducing wear and improving engine component life. The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre-Heater is simple to install, requiring only a few steps: 1. Wire the cable to a suitable plug (refer to wiring information below). 2. Mark the area where the pad will be fitted, ensuring it's large enough to accommodate the full area of the pad. 3. Clean the marked area by removing any paint, grease, oil or other contaminants using a residue-free cleaner such as acetone or brake cleaner. 4. Remove the backing from the pad and apply the heater for 3-5 minutes to warm it up. 5. Apply the heater pad to the cleaned area, removing any air pockets using the supplied application tool. 6. Plug in the heater again for 5-10 seconds. 7. Using the installation tool, smooth over to remove any remaining air bubbles and seal the edges of the pad with the supplied silicone sealer. The kit includes a silicone heater pad with a 6ft long cable, pad applicator tool, silicone sealer, cable ties for the cord, and instructions. Wolverine Engine Oil Pre-Heaters are available in a range of sizes to suit different applications. Please refer to the table below to select the correct option for your application. The heaters are available in 12v DC, 24v DC, and 230v/240v options. They are supplied with bare wire ends and require wiring. For wiring purposes, the centre wire (green/yellow) is wired to earth pin, and the other two wires are to live and neutral (it doesn't matter which way they are wired).
