The Pirelli P Zero Run Flat is a milestone in the development of the Pirelli range, chosen as original equipment for the most performance-oriented and powerful models on the market. Characterized by an asymmetric tread pattern, this ultra-high-performance tyre is ideal for top-of-the-range sports cars and high-powered vehicles, as well as powerful mid-range models. The P Zero boasts enhanced handling performance for sports driving, thanks to its advanced technology. It provides safety and control in aquaplaning, ensuring the best braking and traction performance. This tyre is designed for the most prestigious OE fitments on premium new models, offering superior handling and braking performance on both dry and wet surfaces. The tread design features three wide longitudinal grooves, which provide high aquaplaning resistance, while s-shaped sipes reduce rolling noise. The external area with large, rigid blocks supports handling characteristics when driving at the limit. This tyre is perfect for drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes, and high-performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT, and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tire sizes. This tyre is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. The special silica and carbon black tread compound ensures competence during the first few miles of driving when the tyre is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout its life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design, which minimizes deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance, and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear, and acoustic comfort. The internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord, controlling tyre profile deformation and stabilizing the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
