The redesigned pipework features larger and smoother pipes to increase air volume, intake airflow, and reduce air temperature. This direct-fit upgrade is designed for simpler installation and replaces restrictive plastic OE components to achieve improved engine performance and resist common failure points (up to 21% restriction reduction over stock). The kit includes a reusable and washable multi-layer foam filter that optimises the filtration surface area while providing a longer service life. High-performance reinforced silicone hoses maintain a smooth path from the airbox to the turbo inlet, resistant to collapsing from the higher pressures associated with high-performance/tuned engines. By redesigning the airbox lid in carbon fibre, a 16% larger smoother bore size for the outlets and pipework was created, increasing the air volume and velocity to allow more cold air into the turbo. This results in quicker turbo spool time, crisper acceleration response, and overall power output. The Revo carbon front air scoop replaces the OEM plastic front panel with a stunning carbon fibre design that maintains both of the front panels through air feeds while removing the swing gate found on the OE secondary air feed. The redesigned Revo DV connector is made from anodised aluminium and precisely machined from a single billet, allowing the connection of the stock DV hose to the larger bore Revo hose. It exactly mirrors the OE connection point to ensure no boost pressure is lost during reculation and thus allowing for maximum intake performance. Cold air is crucial as it is denser and oxygen-rich, which means for every spin of the turbo it's gulping down more oxygen. This is particularly important on remapped/tuned applications, ensuring the engine makes power more easily and is less likely to be limited by the intake. The kit also includes a 4-ply stepped silicone airbox hose to the larger Continental turbo inlet. Constructed from tough reinforced silicone that reduces turbulence in the airflow path and replaces the weaker restrictive corrugated plastic OE parts. A multi-ply construction with the addition of fluoro-lined inners prevents oil vapour contamination and creates a stronger more durable coupler that also prevents collapsing under high pressure. The Revo ProPanel air filter replaces the stock paper design with a higher-flowing multi-layered foam unit, allowing more air through than the paper element specced from the factory. The foam element design uses layers of successively thinner foam to prevent the filter from getting clogged too quickly, yet retaining superb filtration characteristics. The foam filter is not only freer-flowing but washable, so reusing the filter should also save on servicing costs over time.
