The Revo OEM+ Air Intake Kit has been designed to provide a direct replacement solution to upgrade restrictive OE components found in your stock intake system, resulting in improvements in intake air volume and flow. The redesigned pipework is larger and smoother, increasing air volume and intake airflow. This kit replaces the restrictive OE components, providing improved engine performance with a simpler installation. The Revo OEM+ Intake Kits address common issues found in stock intake systems. The OE components, although designed for the vehicle they are fitted to, often have to make a compromise on cost, strength, and performance. Plastic parts are easier to develop and cheaper to produce but often suffer from cracking and splitting problems due to ageing and frequent temperature cycles. The Revo's OEM+ systems are designed to complement the majority of stock parts fitted at the factory, retaining the factory airbox for instance, but upgrading to a high-flow performance filter can offer measurable improvements with minimal costs and quick installation times. The corrugated flexible OE pipework can also be easily replaced with redesigned smoother silicone pipework offering an improved airflow path and more durable construction. Using the latest materials and production techniques, Revo engineers create components that are stronger and more durable than the stock parts. Redesigning the turbo intake pipe in a larger smoother bore size increases the air volume and velocity to allow more cold air into the turbo, resulting in faster turbo spool times, crisper acceleration response, and overall power output. Cold air is denser which means for every spin of the turbo it's gulping down more oxygen. This means that, particularly on a remapped engine, the engine makes power more easily and is less likely to be limited by the intake. The 4-ply silicone turbo intake hose, constructed from tough reinforced silicone, reduces turbulence in the airflow path and replaces the weaker restrictive corrugoured OE plastic/rubber parts. A multi-ply construction with the addition of fluoro-lined inners prevents oil vapour contamination and creates a stronger more durable pipe that also prevents collapsing under high pressure. The stepped taper creates an unhindered smooth path with flush-fit joints to enhance flow to the turbo. The Revo custom air filter reinforced with a galvanised mesh replaces the stock paper design with a higher-flowing multi-layered foam unit. This allows more air through than the paper element specced from the factory. The foam element design uses layers of successively thinner foam to prevent the filter from getting clogged too quickly, yet retain superb filtration characteristics. The foam filter is not only freer-flowing but washable, so reusing the filter should also save on servicing costs over time.
