The 8865 series of fire extinguishers from FEV have been developed to surpass the highly stringent FIA 8856-2015 safety approval which is now mandatory in many top level Motorsport championships. The advanced technology used in these systems ensures the ultimate in fire suppression for Motorsports. All extinguisher systems use Novec 1230 gas as the extinguishant which is incredibly effective at putting out vehicle fires and leaves no mess when discharged.FIA 8865-2015 (Technical list 52) approved for Motorsport use at the highest levelSupplied as a complete kit everything required to install and operateRemote charge system provides more efficient gas dispersal and faster fire out timesChoice of bottle capacity to suit different cockpit sizesThe Novec 1230 gas extinguishant used in this fire extinguisher has been proven to quickly and efficiently extinguish fires including fuel, oil, diesel and other highly flammable sources. Because the extinguishant contains no water it will not effect vehicle electrics or cause any other damage such as corrosion or tarnishing of components. It is also non-toxic so is safe for the vehicle occupants. The gas is dispersed via a single floor mounted cockpit bar nozzle and 2 atomising engine bay nozzles.
