The Pirelli P Zero Run Flat is a milestone in the development of the Pirelli range, chosen as original equipment for the most performance-oriented and powerful models on the market. Characterized by an asymmetric tread pattern, this ultra-high-performance tyre is ideal for top-of-the-range sports cars and high-powered vehicles. The Pirelli P Zero offers enhanced handling performance for sports driving, ensuring safety and control in aquaplaning conditions. Its braking and traction performance are also exceptional. As a result of its cutting-edge technology, the Pirelli P Zero is the ultimate choice for those who demand the highest level of performance from their tyres. The tyre's new tread design provides superior handling and braking performance on both dry and wet surfaces. Three wide longitudinal grooves ensure high aquaplaning resistance, while S-shaped sipes are designed to reduce rolling noise. The external area with large, rigid blocks is the ideal support to exalt handling characteristics when driving on the limit. As a result of 100 years of Pirelli motorsport experience, the P Zero is derived from Max Performance Summer tires and developed for drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes, and high-performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT, and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tyre sizes. The P Zero features a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tyre is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout its life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design, which minimizes deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance, and wet traction with dry road performance. Special nano-composites in the compound beneath the tread protect the carcass from deterioration, merging sport handling with ride comfort. The tyre's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tyre profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
