The Pirelli P Zero Run Flat is a milestone in the development of the Pirelli range, characterised by an asymmetric tread pattern. It has been chosen as original equipment for the most performance-oriented and powerful models on the market, making it a reference point for the ultra-high-performance segment. This tyre is ideal for top-of-the-range sports cars and high-powered vehicles, but can also be considered for powerful mid-range models. Its enhanced handling performance, safety, and control in aquaplaning make it an excellent choice for drivers who demand the best. The P Zero's superior handling and braking performance are thanks to its new tread design, which features three wide longitudinal grooves for high aquaplaning resistance and s-shaped sipes designed to reduce rolling noise. The external area with large, rigid blocks provides support for exalted handling characteristics when driving on the limit. Pirelli's motorsport experience has led to the development of the P Zero lineup, initially introduced as original equipment on prestigious models such as the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT, and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles. The P Zero features a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tire is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout the tire's life. The S-treme asymmetric design minimizes deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance, and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear, and acoustic comfort. The internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
