The AEM Electronics Water/Methanol Standard Controller Kit represents a robust solution to enhance your vehicle's performance. Crafted with durability in mind, this controller provides long-lasting service. It supports both forced induction and naturally aspirated applications. With its versatility, you can optimize your vehicle's performance regardless of the engine type. The kit comes with a wiring harness equipped with a positive-lock connector for hassle-free installation. The harness includes colour-coded wires for ease of identification and an integrated pump ground circuit. Furthermore, it features an additional wire for optional on/off fluid solenoid connection. This controller employs boost-dependent and multi-input progressive control designs. Boost dependent means that the injection volume increases proportionally to the detected boost level. Multi-input allows external Mass Air Pressure (MAP) or Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors for enhanced flexibility in custom/high-boost applications. The controller's housing houses a moulded barbed nipple for easy connection to the boost hose and features a wiring legend on the backside for convenience during installation. The kit offers two versions: Boost Dependent (up to 35 PSI for forced induction petrol) and Multi-Input (0-5V voltage/frequency based input for NA & forced induction petrol and diesel above 35 PSI). AEM's Water/Methanol Injection Systems are designed to provide significant improvements for various applications in both petrol and diesel high-performance engines. By reducing air inlet charge temperatures, increasing the anti-knock index, and enabling reliable boost pressure increases, these systems optimize engine performance without the need for high octane racing fuels. They also minimize carbon deposit build-up and potentially enhance fuel economy due to the "steam-cleaning" effect of burning a water/methanol mixture. Moreover, this controller kit incorporates an integrated "Boost Safe" feature that monitors the entire injection system and triggers a ground signal in case of voltage-related errors. Users can define their failsafe strategy from various options such as flashing warning lights to more advanced strategies like pulling boost or ignition or switching fuel maps on a standalone engine management system.
