The AEM Electronics Ethanol Content Flex Fuel Sensor Kit is designed to provide accurate real-time measurements of ethanol content and fuel temperature, allowing users with programmable engine management systems to optimize their tuning calibration for the fuel being used. This kit includes a comprehensive instruction manual, an electrical connection plug and pin kit, and fuel line connectors. The sensor is compatible with AEM's Infinity or Series 2 programmable ECUs, as well as third-party displays and data loggers. The Flex Fuel Ethanol Content Sensor Kit measures a vehicle's fuel ethanol content percentage and fuel temperature, enabling users to monitor the amount of fuel blend being used at any given time. This is particularly important since many fuel stations label flex fuel as E85 (85% Ethanol and 15% Gasoline), but actual ethanol content can be significantly different. Using the AEM Flex Fuel Ethanol Content Sensor allows tuners to accurately monitor the amount of fuel blend being used, which is ideal for applications that require programable engine tuning and calibration. The sensor can be installed into the existing fuel return line at a convenient point between the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump. In high flow systems where restrictions might be an issue, a smaller parallel circuit could be created. This kit comes with a plug and pin kit for electrical connections as well as -6AN hose fittings for integration into the fuel system. The operating specifications are: * Battery Voltage: 9 to 18 V * Maximum flow: 400 litres per hour * Operating Temperature: -40 to 150°C The sensor output (12V) pull-up resistor is 2.2-10.0 kOhm. Please note that when installing the sensor for use with non-AEM programmable Flex Fuel compatible ECU/EMS, a suitable 12V pull-up resistor may be required. Your display or data logger manufacturer will need to be consulted for compatibility and correct resistor identification.
