The AEM Electronics 1/8" NPT DTM-Style Fluid Temperature Sensor Kit is designed to provide highly accurate and responsive oil/ water temperature measurements. With an accuracy of <1.5°C (<2.7°F) across operating temperatures from -20°C to 150°C (-4°F to 302°F), this sensor kit is capable of detecting even slight changes in fluid temperature. The sensor's thermal time constant is just 10 seconds, allowing it to quickly respond to changes in ambient temperature. The high-performance DTM-style connector, made with brass thread and a 1/2" hex size, ensures long-life operation while resisting corrosion. The kit includes a weatherproof high-performance DTM-style connector, mating connector, pins, and wire seals. Manufactured from an all-brass housing to maximize thermal conduction, this sensor features a 1/8" NPT male thread to match one of the most commonly found port dimensions. This ensures quick and reliable oil, water or other fluid temperature monitoring in a wide range of applications. The dissipation constant is 12 mW/°C, demonstrating its high sensitivity to temperature changes. The ratio, at a specified ambient temperature, of the change in power dissipation to the resultant temperature change of the thermistor, makes it an ideal choice for precise temperature measurement. With an operating weight of just 10g and an installation torque of 13.5 Nm (10 ft-lbs), this sensor is easy to install and maintain. Its high-performance DTM-style connector ensures long-life operation in even the most demanding applications.
