Real-time data overlay is one of the most impressive features of the SmartyCam 3 Sport. When connected to an AIM data logger or GPS module, it automatically overlays speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts, and much more onto your video. The SmartyCam 3 Sport can read data from various sources, including GPS track maps and vehicle positions, as well as speed, lap, and split times. TheSmartyCam 3 Sport features a built-in data logger that records all displayed channels onto an SD card, which can be reviewed later using the free Race Studio 3 software. Recorded channels include RPM, throttle, engaged gears, acceleration, temperatures, pressures, and date from the camera's internal tri-axis accelerometer. Designed for extreme conditions, the SmartyCam 3 Sport is built to withstand the most adverse weather conditions and vibrations typical of track racing. Its incredibly tough and durable casing is sealed to IP65 standards, and its sapphire frontal glass can withstand high-speed impacts. Automatic start and stop features ensure that you don't need to worry about switching on the camera, allowing you to focus on your driving. The SmartyCam 3 Sport also automatically recognizes the track you are at from its database, eliminating the need for setup points for lap timing. The rear-mounted color TFT display provides immediate playback and helps with initial setup. Automatic data and video synchronisation ensure that videos and important data are stored in the same MP4 file. If MP4 is not enough for your analysis, you can simply import video and data from your AIM logger, and the software will automatically synchronize them. The SmartyCam 3 Sport offers a higher storage capacity using an optimized compression system to provide the perfect balance between video quality and file size. Video is stored on an SD card up to 1TB in size, and you can select three different recording quality options: High quality, Standard quality, or Low quality. Dimensions of the SmartyCam 3 Sport are 80 x 54 x 46.5mm, and it is powered by an internal rechargeable Lithium battery with a battery charger included. The camera can also draw power from a vehicle's power supply when connected to an AIM logger or dash logger via the included CAN cable.
