The AIM Motorsport SmartyCam 3 Sport HD Camera is designed specifically for motorsports, focusing on club racing and karting. This compact camera features a full HD recording capacity of 1920 x 1080p at 30 FPS, with real-time data overlay using data from AIM data loggers, MyChron kart loggers, and GPS modules. The SmartyCam 3 Sport is fully waterproof with a super tough glass lens cover, making it ideal for open cockpit cars or karts. It can record track action in crystal clear video with no wave or wobble, providing invaluable insights to improve lap times. Real-time data overlay allows you to visualize your performance by displaying speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts, and more. The SmartyCam 3 Sport automatically overlays this data onto the video, giving you a comprehensive analysis of your track performance. The camera features a CMOS sensor specifically designed for motorsports, eliminating distortion and wave effects that are common in generic action cameras. The SmartyCam 3 Sport comes with two lens options: a 67 lens for closed-roof cars and a 84 lens for karts, open-roof, and formula cars. This built-in data logger records all displayed channels onto an SD card, which can then be reviewed using the free Race Studio 3 software. Recorded channels include RPM, throttle, engaged gears, acceleration, temperatures, pressures, and data from the cameras internal tri-axis accelerometer. The SmartyCam 3 Sport is designed to withstand extreme conditions such as strong vibrations, continuous rain, and extreme temperature fluctuations. Its incredibly tough casing is sealed to IP65 standards, with a sapphire frontal glass that can withstand high-speed impacts. Automatic start and stop functionality eliminates the need for manual switching on and off, allowing you to focus on your racing performance. The SmartyCam 3 Sport also features automatic track selection using GPS data. A rear-mounted colour TFT display provides immediate playback and helps with initial setup. Automatic data and video synchronisation ensures that videos and important data are stored in the same MP4 file. TheSmartyCam 3 Sport offers higher storage capacity, utilizing a compression system optimized for balance between video quality and file size. Video is stored on an SD card up to 1TB in size, with three recording quality options: High quality (1 hour = 4GB), Standard quality (1 hour = 2GB), and Low quality (1 hour = 1.5GB). Dimensions of the SmartyCam 3 Sport are 80 x 54 x 46.5mm. The internal rechargeable Lithium battery provides power, with an included charger and a CAN connection cable for connecting to an AIM logger/dash logger. The product comes in eight options, each with varying lens and CAN connection cable lengths. A 2-way data hub is included in options 5-8, which allows for external power connection when the camera is not connected to an AIM logger/dash logger.
