Product Name: Seals-It Firewall Grommet Seals - Single Blank 2" OD, Black Revised Seals-It firewall grommet seals serve as crucial components in car interior protection. They prevent smoke and fumes from entering the cockpit, ensuring a safer driving environment for car enthusiasts. Additionally, these seals protect fluid lines and wiring from chafing and wearing on rough surfaces during rigorous drives. With their innovative design, existing hoses may not require complete disassembly to install the firewall grommets. The grommets are versatile and suitable for use with fuel and oil lines, as well as other fluid lines or wiring. Constructed from flame-retardant nitrile rubber, they are bonded to an anodised aluminium backing plate for added durability. Drilled holes in the backing plate facilitate easy attachment using bolts or rivets onto panels or bulkheads. To ensure a proper fit, measure the hole diameter of your hose or wiring and select a grommet seal with an inner diameter 1.5-3.2mm smaller than that dimension. The outer diameter of the grommet should be 10mm larger than the largest part of the assembly to be passed through it, typically the hose end fitting. It is advisable to apply a lubricant such as petroleum jelly or silicone grease during line installation for smooth passage and to prevent damage to the seals.
