Introducing Seals-It's Firewall Grommet Seals - Single Blank, 1.5" OD, Black. These grommets serve as vital protective components within your vehicle's firewall. By sealing the gaps through which fuel, oil, and other fluid lines or wiring pass, they prevent harmful smoke and fumes from infiltrating the driver's compartment while simultaneously safeguarding the lines against abrasion and damage on rough surfaces. Suitable for a wide range of applications, Seals-It firewall grommet seals are ideal for both fuel and oil lines as well as other fluid lines or wiring. Their innovative design enables many installations to be completed without requiring the dismantling of existing hoses. The rubber construction allows for easy passage of fittings through the grommets, simplifying the installation process. Made from flame-retardant nitrile and backed with anodised aluminium, these firewall grommets boast robustness and durability. They are equipped with predrilled holes for secure mounting to panels or bulkheads using bolts or rivets. To ensure a perfect fit, choose a seal with a hole diameter 1.5-3.2mm smaller than the hose or wiring diameter. The rubber outer diameter should be at least 10mm larger than the largest part of the assembly being passed through it (typically the hose end fitting). For effortless installation, it is recommended to apply a lubricant such as petroleum jelly or silicone grease to the grommet and the hose or wire before passing them through.
