These grommet seals effectively prevent smoke, fumes, and other unwanted elements from entering the cockpit while safeguarding against chafing, wearing, or damage on rough surfaces. Ideal for use in fuel and oil lines, as well as other fluid lines or wiring, Seals-It firewall grommet seals offer a practical solution to streamline your through panel installations. By design, these seals allow you to pass fittings through without the need for complete disassembly of existing hoses. Crafted from high-quality flame retardant nitrile and bonded to an anodised aluminium backing plate, these grommets boast durability and reliability. They come with pre-drilled holes for easy bolting or riveting onto panels or bulkheads, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. To ensure a perfect fit, remember to select a seal with a hole diameter 1.5-3.2mm smaller than your hose or wiring's largest diameter. For the rubber O/D, it should be at least 10mm larger than the largest part of the assembly (usually the hose end fitting). Applying a lubricant like petroleum or silicone jelly before passing lines through the grommet will make installation even smoother.
