The Revo Mono-4/6 Big Brake Kit features massive heat fade resistance, making it suitable for both road and track use. The kit boasts huge monoblock units from Alcon, allowing for larger discs and pads to be used. The 4 or 6 piston calipers from Alcon provide greater stopping power spread out over a wider area, resulting in more friction and faster stopping times. The monobloc aluminium calipers are machined as a single piece from T6061, ensuring optimal control and braking feel with minimal flex. High-end calipers deserve high-end discs, which is why Revo opted for crescent-grooved two-piece floating discs. This design separates the rotor and hub of the disc, allowing the rotor to expand outwards with heat without warping. The crescent grooves on the disc surface offer several benefits, including cleaning the surface of the pad, allowing superheated gas to escape, and leaving larger areas of continuous disc surface to resist heat damage. The Ferodo DS Performance Compound is used for its outstanding road-use characteristics. This compound retains many features from track pads, offering a high friction coefficient and excellent heat resistance. It also provides outstanding cold performance right from the first push of the pedal on a cold morning. The pad is designed not to be as dusty as a motorsport pad, and it wears easier on discs. The braided steel brake lines from Goodridge keep flex down to a minimum, ensuring no effort is wasted. The Motul Dot 5.1 brake fluid is fully synthetic and has a dry boiling point of almost 270 degrees, making it capable of handling the stresses placed on it by this kit. The Revo Mono 4 and Mono-6 Big Brake Kits are fully compatible with your car's factory Anti-Lock (ABS), Traction Control (ESC), and Stability Control (ESP) systems.
