The Alpinestars GP Pro Comp V2 Race Suit is a pioneering development in the world of motorsport, designed to meet the stringent FIA 8856-2018 homologation for enhanced flame and heat protection. The result is a lightweight yet exceptionally protective suit that maintains its signature comfort levels. The outer shell has been uniquely developed by Alpinestars to provide optimal protection while minimizing weight. This is combined with an Aramidic knitted lining featuring an open weave, which allows for superb comfort levels and increased breathability. Additionally, stretchable mesh panels have been integrated to aid body temperature regulation. A notable innovation is the introduction of silicone grip technology on the shoulders and lower back areas, reducing FHR device movement and minimizing body movement within the seat. Furthermore, the suit features a Formula 1 derived cable opening with self-closing flap, facilitating comms wiring or cooling vest tubing. Fully floating sleeves and stretch mesh panels located on the lower back and crotch areas provide enhanced flexibility, while a tall, ribbed collar enhances comfort levels further. The FIA 8856-2018 approved suit boasts a three-layer construction, utilizing a material weight of 345 g/m.
