Furthermore, the shaft and bearing construction are strengthened to withstand higher forces, leading to increased turbo life. Our engineers have decades of experience and expertise in developing bespoke components from scratch, including housings themselves. The Hybrid Turbo sets itself apart by offering modifications that go beyond simple replacement of rotating parts. Each OE turbo application is carefully assessed to identify limitations, followed by a comprehensive upgrade program for each component. This includes developing new modification techniques and assembly concepts to extract greater performance from existing parts. Key enhancements include upgrading the compressor wheel by increasing its size or replacing weaker cast components with billet construction for increased strength. The turbine wheel is precision-trimmed or modified to increase flow capacity, depending on the application or original design.
