The result is a turbo that performs better and lasts longer than any other. At Turbo Technics, we go beyond simple replacement of rotating parts. Our comprehensive upgrade program involves identifying every limitation in the OE turbo application and developing new modification techniques and assembly concepts to extract greater performance from existing parts. We replace weaker cast components with billet construction for increased strength, precision-trim or cut turbine wheels to increase flow capacity, and develop robust and stronger bearings and shaft components that hold them in a consistent and stable position. The compressor wheel is responsible for drawing fresh air into the turbo, and we upgrade it to a larger size to increase flow. The turbine wheel is used to transfer energy from the exhaust gases to drive the compressor wheel, which is replaced or modified to increase flow capacity. Rotating parts require robust and stronger bearings and shaft components to hold them in a consistent and stable position. Compressor and turbine housings are modified to accept the newer oversized rotating components, ensuring a snug fit with no loss of performance. Actuator modification or replacement achieves higher basic boost levels. Our hybrid turbos receive modifications that far exceed the basic enhancements offered elsewhere, ensuring each specific application achieves optimal improvements and performance gains.
