With decades of experience and a comprehensive range of components available, Turbo Technics engineers can develop bespoke parts from scratch if required, including housings themselves where the original equipment unit cannot be reliably upgraded or machined.
Rotating parts require robust and stronger bearings and shaft components to hold them in a consistent and stable position. Huge stresses and forces are exerted upon these simple but critical parts as turbo size and capacity increase. In some applications, additional 360° thrust bearing assemblies are added.
The compressor and turbine housings are modified to accept the newer oversized rotating components, ensuring a snug fit is maintained with no loss of performance. Actuator modification or replacement is also included to achieve higher basic boost levels.
Please note: Performance gains over original equipment turbochargers are typically achieved with additional Air intake, intercooler, exhaust system and engine remapping upgrades. Where large jumps in power output above stock are desired, further engine modifications may be required and should be identified with your engine tuning professional.
