This comprehensive kit meets Motorsport UK / Appendix K regulations for historic motorsport use, providing a complete solution for competitors. Safety is paramount in motorsport, and Custom Cages works closely with the FIA and Motorsport UK to ensure all designs meet the latest technical regulations. To verify compliance with FIA technical regulations, competitors may need a roll cage certificate or Letter of Conformity. A certificate is issued from Custom Cages once a weld sample is completed, verifying the competence of the installer. The Historic Weld In Roll Cage Specification features lightweight T45 steel or CDS steel tubes, designed for historic Motorsport applications. These cages have a minimum of 6 mounting points and come complete with door bars and lateral support bars in the main hoop between the A pillars. As self-fit cages, they should only be installed by professional car preparers or highly skilled welders using MIG or TIG welding methods.
