Revo's DSG/S-Tronic Performance Software Upgrade Stage 1 is designed to complement the wide range of remaps available for cars with DSG and S-Tronic gear boxes, allowing you to fully harness the power increase and enjoy enhanced control. This software upgrade unlocks the potential of your car's gearbox, providing a smoother and more effective driving experience. The upgrade modifies automatic gearbox shift speed, unlocking launch control capabilities and allowing higher revs in sport modes over standard automatic shifting. Upshifts have been raised to around 7000rpm (model dependent) to utilize the engine, enabling it to stay in its most effective operating range for longer. For vehicles with launch Control, the upshift range has also been increased to 3200rpm for FWD models and 4000rpm for 4WD models, providing a swifter and smoother start. In Manual Mode, you gain more control through the ability to disable Automatic shifting, allowing you to fully dictate when Up and Down shifts occur. Kick-down in Manual Mode has also been disabled, giving you the freedom to open up the throttle or attempt overtakes without fear of an upshift knocking you off balance. The upgrade provides improved gear shifting overall, with a faster and more accurate shift, eliminating double shifting and enhancing the driver's involvement and overall experience. The Gear Shift Indicator will display in Gear display when possible, as not all vehicles have this feature enabled. By acquiring this software upgrade, your vehicle will be able to handle the performance increase that comes with a Remapped engine, with increased Torque limits set by the factory to 500Nm. This is a software limit, not a hardware limit, and the vehicle will still operate within a safe range. Revo's Stage 1 DSG/S-Tronic upgrade is designed for use on cars that are standard or tuned, while Stage 2 and Stage 3 upgrades are designed for cars with hardware modifications such as K04 Stage2+ and serious hardware modifications such as Stage3 K04 turbo kits (available from Revo).
