The AIM Motorsport MyChron5 S 2T Dash Logger/Kart Lap Timer is a cutting-edge device designed specifically for kart racing enthusiasts. It boasts an upgraded GPS frequency of 25 Hz, providing enhanced precision accuracy to within 45 cm (1.5 m). The redesigned Wi-Fi module delivers 5 times faster data downloads and incorporates a more powerful processor for improved performance. This advanced system offers dual temperature sensor inputs, allowing for the monitoring of water temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT), or exhaust gas temperature (EGT) using an included M12 KF type EGT sensor in addition to the standard sensors provided. The unit itself features a 9-axis inertial platform, which enables the development of numerous useful math channels for detailed analysis. The MyChron5 S 2T is a high-resolution graphical display that records and displays kart engine parameters and lap data in real time. It logs and stores speed, lap times (including split and predictive), gear, rpm, as well as data from the optional LCU-One Lambda Controller and MyChron Expansion module. The device features a built-in 25Hz GPS, ensuring accurate tracking of your performance on the racetrack. With a wide range of customisable settings, drivers can choose from seven different display colours for clear, easy-to-read numerical readouts. These include lap times and lap number, RPM in a configurable scale, and one temperature value. The unit also features an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the display brightness according to environmental conditions. In addition to its robust housing and wide display, the MyChron5 S 2T comes with a rechargeable lithium battery for extended use. The device is powered by a dedicated removable battery that offers approximately 10 hours of operation. An optional external power lead connection can be used if preferred. The system integrates five RGB shift lights and alarm LEDs that are customisable for each gear, RPM thresholds, and alarm conditions. MyChron5 S 2T supports Wi-Fi connectivity for easy data downloads to your PC, real-time monitoring, firmware updates, and parameter transmission using the Data Key or through Wi-Fi. Expansion options include the LCU-One Lambda controller for engine tuning, the MyChron Expansion module for additional sensors, and the SmartyCam HD camera for professional videos with real-time data overlaid. The Race Studio software (free to download) enables detailed analysis of your performance and optimisation of your driving techniques.
