The AIM MyChron5 S 2T is a cutting-edge dash logger and kart lap timer that utilizes GPS technology to provide precise data for car enthusiasts. This latest version boasts an improved GPS frequency of 25 Hz, providing accuracy within 45 cm (1.5 m) compared to the previous 5 feet. With its redesigned Wi-Fi module, data downloads are now five times faster, and it features a more powerful processor for enhanced performance. The MyChron5 S 2T logs and records various kart engine parameters including speed, lap times with split and predictive capabilities, gear position, temperature, and rpm. Additionally, it supports two temperature sensor inputs, which can be used to monitor water temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT) under the plug, or exhaust gas temperature (EGT). The included dual/splitter patch lead offers three options: Black/Yellow, featuring one TR (719) plug for EGT or CHT and one TC (Mignon) plug for water temperature; Black/Black, featuring two TR (719) plugs for monitoring two water temperatures; or Yellow/Yellow, offering two TC (Mignon) plugs to monitor two CHT or EGT values. This versatile device features a high-resolution graphical display with 7 configurable colours, allowing drivers to view essential data such as lap times, lap number, RPM in a customisable scale, and one temperature value in clear, easy-to-read numerical format. After racing, all relevant information can be reviewed on the display, including lap times with predictive lap times and split times, track location, and magnetic strip data. The MyChron5 S 2T comes equipped with an integrated GPS system that automatically identifies your location at the track without any additional sensors or configuration, providing automatic lap times, predictive lap times, and split times. Its robust housing boasts a nylon chassis, metallic push buttons, anti-scratch non-reflecting polycarbonate screen, and wider display for optimal readability in diverse lighting conditions. This dash logger features completely configurable pages that can be defined via software or directly on the device, with options to show graphic bars or just digits. It also includes an ambient light sensor that adjusts display brightness according to environmental conditions. For shift karts, you can choose to display the calculated gear number in a few hundredths of meters while driving. The MyChron5 S 2T's rechargeable lithium battery provides about 10 hours of operation and is easily recharged via its magnetic basement connected to the power adapter. An optional external power lead connection allows you to connect to your kart's 12v battery if desired. The device also features five RGB shift lights that can be configured for each gear with customisable LED colours and RPM threshold values. Furthermore, this dash logger offers alarm settings that allow you to manage various situations by selecting the situation, LED behaviour (blinking frequency and colour), and conditions for switch-off. With WiFi connectivity, you can download data to your PC, view real-time measures online, upgrade firmware, transmit parameters using the Data Key, or through fast WiFi connection. For comprehensive analysis of performance, this device supports expansion options such as the LCU-One Lambda controller for precise carburetion tuning and the MyChron Expansion module to add additional sensors for monitoring braking, acceleration, and Power Valve behaviour. The SmartyCam HD camera enables professional videos with real-time data overlaid for detailed analysis of your driving skills.
