AEM Electronics PDU-8 EV 8 Channel Power Distribution Unit

The AEM Electronics PDU-8 is a versatile and economical 8-channel power distribution unit specifically designed for managing switched devices on electric vehicles. It establishes a direct connection to an AEM VCU200 or VCU300 via CAN bus, making it the perfect choice for controlling an extensive range of electrical components, such as cooling pumps, fans, lights, indicators, and windscreen wipers. For additional channels, you can easily link up to 8 units together, resulting in a total of 64 channels at your disposal. The PDU-8 features four high side 12V outputs that deliver 20A each, as well as four that provide 10A for precise control over individual electrical circuits. Each output is individually monitored and faults are reported back to the VCU for efficient troubleshooting. This PDU-8 is compatible with various CAN-enabled VCUs, including AEM's VCU200 and VCU300, ensuring seamless integration into existing electric vehicle systems. Its CAN-commanded operation eliminates the need for logic programming, simplifying configuration and reducing setup time. Additionally, an optional 8 button keypad can be employed in conjunction with the PDU-8 to allow for manual switching of circuits via CAN communication. This added functionality enhances user control over their electric vehicle's power distribution system.
