AEM Electronics VCU300 Programmable EV Control Unit - Multi Motor

The AEM Electronics VCU300 Programmable EV Control Unit is designed to cater to electric vehicles with up to four motors, offering bespoke torque management that makes it an indispensable tuning tool for both motorsport and high-performance road applications. This device not only manages motor control but also facilitates communication with three independent CAN Bus networks, ensuring compatibility with direct and in-direct drive EV setups. With this control unit, you can enjoy independent torque control for each of the four electric motors, unifying the vehicle's tuning potential through input characterisation that includes throttle pedal, brake switch, PRND switches, and other driver/vehicle inputs. The VCU provides startup and shutdown sequencing for high-voltage components, offering independent contractor control as well. In addition to motor control and CAN communication with battery management systems, inverters, PDUs, and other CAN accessories, the VCU can control various accessories such as cooling pumps, fans, lights, and more when used in conjunction with the AEM PDU-8 power distribution unit. The device features 13 analogue inputs, 15 digital inputs, 4 frequency outputs, 12 low side drivers, 6 high side drivers, and 4 half bridges with shunt resistors to provide either - 4 low side drivers (PWM) or 4 high side drivers. The VCU is housed in a robust aluminium case that is sealed to IP6K7 standards, ensuring it can endure the demands of motorsport environments while remaining reliable.
