The Tillett B6 is a sleek and narrow seat, meticulously designed to fit into many kit cars, sports cars, and trackday vehicles. Its compact size allows it to blend seamlessly with smaller cockpits while providing ample space for drivers wearing crash helmets. The thoughtful placement of the headrest ensures that driver's headroom is preserved, even when wearing protective gear. Moreover, the shoulder belt holes have been strategically positioned to facilitate the use of FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) or HANS devices. By positioning the driver lower in the vehicle, the B6 seat offers several advantages. Taller drivers benefit from increased legroom and comfort, while the lowered centre of gravity enhances overall stability and handling. This British-made seat is ideal for drivers with a waist size up to 100kg (standard) or up to 130kg (XL). The B6 is meticulously crafted using advanced twin skin technology, which guarantees unparalleled rigidity and optimal chassis feedback. Despite its narrow dimensions, it comfortably caters to a wide range of driver shapes and sizes, thanks to its body-hugging design. High side bolsters provide superior lateral support and leg protection during high-speed manoeuvres. The contoured seat shape ensures that drivers experience maximum comfort even when using the seat without padding. The hip holes have been enlarged for easy access with wider lap belts, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for all. This versatile seat features a composite GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) shell which can be upgraded to carbon fibre/GRP for enhanced lightness. The ergonomic shape mirrors the driver's body, offering unmatched comfort and feedback. Whether you choose to remove the outer edge of the shell for narrow 40 cm tubs or leave it on for added support, the internal dimensions remain consistent for both options. The B6 comes standard with a Dinamica suede covered headrest pad for enhanced comfort and style. For additional customisation, a 2-piece Dinamica trimmed pad set is available for purchase separately. The seat can be either base or side mounted, with specific mounting options available for each configuration. For the base mount version, the Tillett Adjustment Seat Runner Set (available separately) can be bolted directly to the underside of the seat. For the side mount option, dedicated mounts are readily available HERE. Please note that when using the base mount version, runners and spacers must be installed 1cm from the underside of the seat to allow clearance for the handle to operate.
