The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre Heater is designed to provide a simple yet effective solution for preheating engine oil before initial start-up. Utilizing aerospace technology, the low-profile heater pads are engineered to attach seamlessly to the sump pan or dry sump tank via a highly adhesive 'peel and stick' backing. These heaters boast a remarkable heat-up time of 45-90 minutes, depending on ambient temperature, and are capable of raising the oil to near-full operating temperature. The benefits of this technology include improved cold starting, reduced cold start wear, immediate lubrication, reduced emulsification in the oil, and faster attainment of full operating temperature. The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre Heater is easy to install, following these steps: * Wire the cable to a suitable plug (see wiring information below) * Mark the area where the pad is to be fitted, ensuring it's large enough to accommodate the full area of the pad * Clean the area by removing any paint, grease, oil or other contaminants using a residue-free cleaner like acetone or brake cleaner * Remove the backing from the pad and apply it to the cleaned area, removing any air pockets with the supplied application tool * Plug in the heater for 3-5 minutes to warm it up, followed by a 5-10 second plug-in * Smooth over to remove any remaining air bubbles using the installation tool * Seal the edges of the pad using the provided silicone sealer and allow it to fully cure before operating the heater The kit includes a silicone heater pad with a 6ft long cable, pad applicator tool, silicone sealer, cable ties for the cord, and instructions. The Wolverine Engine Oil Pre Heater is available in various sizes to suit different applications; please refer to the table below to select the correct option for your application. The heaters are supplied with bare wire ends and require wiring. The 12v DC and 24v DC versions have two wires and are not polarity sensitive, so they can be wired either way. For 230v options, a 13amp plug is required (not included). When wiring, the centre wire (green/yellow) should be connected to earth pin, with the other two wires wired to live and neutral.
