The Wolverine pre-heater pads boast an impressive heat-up time of 45-90 minutes, depending on ambient temperature. They raise the oil to near-full operating temperatures, providing a range of benefits including improved cold starting, reduced cold start wear, immediate lubrication, and reduced emulsification in the oil. Furthermore, they enable full operating temperatures to be reached faster, resulting in prolonged engine component life. The installation process is straightforward and easy to follow: 1. Wire the cable to a suitable plug (refer to wiring information below). 2. Mark the area where the pad will be fitted, ensuring it's large enough to accommodate the full area of the pad. 3. Clean the marked area by removing any paint, grease, oil, or other contaminants using residue-free cleaners like acetone or brake cleaner. 4. Remove the backing from the pad and apply the heater for 3-5 minutes to warm it up. 5. Apply the heater pad to the cleaned area, removing any air pockets using the supplied application tool. 6. Plug in the heater again for 5-10 seconds, followed by smoothing over the edges to remove any remaining air bubbles. 7. Seal the edges of the pad using the silicone sealer and allow it to fully cure before operating the heater. The kit includes a silicone heater pad with a 6ft long cable, pad applicator tool, silicone sealer, cable ties for the cord, and instructions. Wolverine engine oil pre-heaters are available in various sizes to cater to different applications; please refer to the table below to select the correct option for your needs. Wiring information: * The heaters are available in 12v DC, 24v DC, and 230v/240v options. * The 12v DC and 24v DC versions have two wires and are not polarity sensitive, allowing them to be wired either way. * For wiring purposes, the centre wire (green/yellow) is wired to earth pin, and the other two wires are to live and neutral.
