Automotive Plumbing Solutions Oil Coolers - 19 Row Without Fittings These oil coolers are designed to effectively cool your engine's oil by leveraging airflow through cooling fins. They cater to fast road and competition vehicles whose engines experience higher RPM and elevated power levels, where the oil can become too thin to offer adequate protection. Oil exceeding its working temperature can lead to diminished performance and potential engine damage. To mitigate this risk, these oil coolers are essential for high-performance or competition engines, transmissions, and differentials that encounter increased oil temperatures. Constructed from lightweight aluminium with a pressed plate design and black powder coat finish for corrosion resistance, the kit includes aluminium male adapters in the chosen size (excluding when 'without fittings' is selected). These coolers not only help safeguard your engine from failure due to oil thinning at extreme temperatures but also contribute to reliable and leak-free operation as they are pressure tested up to 160 psi. The APS (Automotive Plumbing Solutions) range of oil coolers is available in multiple sizes, offering diverse levels of cooling. Two widths are provided: 170mm and 240mm (width refers to the matrix width, not overall width). The cooling capacity increases with the number of rows (oilways including top and bottom plate), ensuring effective heat dissipation. The coolers come with aluminium male adapters unless the 'Without fittings' option is chosen, in which case only the cooler with -10 JIC female ports will be supplied. For secure mounting, we recommend utilizing rubber mounting bobbins, which isolate the cooler from vibration and reduce the risk of failure through fatigue.
