The Summit Technologies Raptor Tempest is a premium wireless steering wheel button control designed specifically for aftermarket steering wheels, providing unparalleled flexibility and customization. This innovative product offers a comprehensive solution for car enthusiasts, allowing them to control various electrical systems without the need for coiled cables. The Raptor Tempest boasts an OEM look and feel, featuring a hard-wearing textured polyurethane foam pad that is both waterproof and durable. It can be configured to fit popular aftermarket steering wheels, with the Clubman and Pro models differing in their receiver technology. The Pro model features a solid-state receiver with 12V 250mA regulated outputs that can be switched down to 5V logic level for PDM use. The Tempest's integrated wiring panel ensures no external wiring is required, reducing the risk of snagging or breakage. Resin-filled protective caps provide added longevity and reliability. The panel is powered by a 3V CR2032 battery, which can be changed via the magnetic quick-release centre cap featuring an LED that displays the current battery condition. The 12-volt receiver module is designed to fit within a waterproof Deutsch enclosure, making it suitable for harsh environments. An 80cm long wiring loom with a 12-pin Deutsch connector provides flexibility in mounting. This product offers unparalleled user configurability, allowing each of the buttons to be set to perform as either Momentary, Latching, or Flashing actions. This flexibility enables the Raptor Tempest to control an extensive range of applications, including lighting, horns, lap timers, traction control, launch control, wipers, fans, and radio communication. The Raptor Tempest can be configured for race use or as an IVA compliant system for road cars. The race version offers no preset channels, allowing users to set up their own custom controls. A decal sheet with popular symbols is included, featuring options such as PTT, rain light, flash, lock, TCS, NOS arm and NOS fire. The road version is fully IVA compliant and includes a decal sheet with IVA recognised symbols for functions such as headlights, indicators, horns, hazard lights, wipers, and washers. The high-quality symbols fit neatly into the buttons, allowing complete personalisation. The flash rate is pre-set at 2 times per second (2Hz) to meet IVA requirements. The Raptor Tempest includes a comprehensive package comprising a steering wheel button transmitter pad, 8-channel relay receiver, wiring loom with 12-pin Deutsch connector, CR2032 battery, decal sheet with 56 different decals, and installation instructions. This product is compatible with various aftermarket steering wheels, including OMP Targa, Sparco 383, Momo Team (300mm diameter only), Momo Model 26 (280mm diameter only), SPA Design Formula, and Group buys for other styles of steering wheel are possible.
