The Summit Technologies Raptor Tempest is a cutting-edge wireless steering wheel button control designed specifically to provide finger-tip control of electrical systems without the need for coiled cables. This innovative solution offers an OEM look and feel, featuring a hard-wearing textured polyurethane foam pad that is waterproof and ideal for open cockpit cars. Fully wireless, with no coiled cables, this system provides user-configurable button operation and can control up to 8 different channels. It's designed to fit a range of popular aftermarket steering wheels (sold separately). The Raptor Tempest comes in two versions: Clubman and Pro. The difference between the two models lies in the receiver. The Clubman model uses 12V relays for switching, whereas the Pro model has a solid-state receiver with 12V 250mA regulated outputs that can be switched down to 5V logic level for PDM use. The Tempest features integrated wiring, resin-filled protective caps, and a quick-release centre cap with an LED display showing the current battery condition. The panel is powered by a 3V CR2032 battery, which can be changed via the magnetic centre cap. This system has been designed to be fully user-configurable, allowing each of the buttons to be set as either Momentary, Latching or Flashing actions. This flexibility enables the Raptor to control various functions in the car, including Lighting, Horn, Lap timers, Traction Control, Launch Control, Wipers, Fans, Radio Communication and more. The Raptor Tempest can be configured for race use or as an IVA-compliant system for road cars. The race version has no preset channels, allowing user-set control of whatever is required. The flash rate is pre-set at 4 times per second (4Hz) when set to Flashing action. A decal sheet with popular symbols is included and features many useful functions. The road version is fully IVA-compliant and includes a decal sheet with IVA-recognised symbols for functions such as Headlights, indicators, Horn, hazard lights, Wipers, washers, plus many more. The flash rate is pre-set at 2 times per second (2Hz) when configured for road use. The Raptor Tempest is available to suit the following aftermarket steering wheels: OMP Targa, Sparco 383, Momo Team (300mm diameter only), Momo Model 26 (280mm diameter only), SPA Design Formula, and Group buys for other styles of steering wheel are possible.
