The Summit Technologies Raptor Tempest is a premium wireless steering wheel button control designed specifically for OEM-like look and feel. This innovative solution offers a fully wireless system, eliminating the need for coiled cables and providing up to 8 channels of user-configurable control. The Raptor Tempest is available in two versions: Clubman and Pro, with the main difference being the receiver technology used. The Clubman model utilizes 12V relays for switching, whereas the Pro model features a solid-state receiver with 12V, 250mA regulated outputs that can be switched down to 5V logic level for PDM use. The integrated panel wiring ensures no external components to snag or break, and the resin-filled switches with protective caps provide longevity and reliability. The Raptor Tempest is powered by a 3V CR2032 battery, which can be changed via the magnetic, quick-release centre cap featuring an LED that displays the current battery condition. The 12-volt receiver module has been designed to fit within a waterproof Deutsch enclosure, providing resistance to harsh environments and comes with an 80cm long wiring loom featuring a 12-pin Deutsch connector for flexible mounting. This fully configurable system allows each button to be set as either Momentary, Latching or Flashing actions, giving users the flexibility to control various systems in their car, including lighting, horn, lap timers, traction control, launch control, wipers, fans, and radio communication. The Raptor Tempest can be configured for race use or as an IVA-compliant system for road cars. The race configuration allows user-set channels with no presets, ideal for controlling various functions. The flash rate is pre-set at 4 times per second (4Hz) when set to Flashing action, providing a 'Flash to pass' function when connected to the headlights. A decal sheet featuring many popular symbols is included. The road configuration is fully IVA-compliant and includes a decal sheet with IVA-recognized symbols for functions such as headlights, indicators, horn, hazard lights, wipers, washers, and more. The flash rate is pre-set at 2 times per second (2Hz) to meet IVA requirements, featuring clever cancellation logic that prevents more than one signal (indicator) button from being active at the same time. The Raptor Tempest comes with a steering wheel button transmitter pad, 8-channel relay receiver, wiring loom with 12-pin Deutsch connector, CR2032 battery, decal sheet with 56 different decals, and installation instructions. The product is compatible with various aftermarket steering wheels, including OMP Targa, Sparco 383, Momo Team (300mm diameter only), Momo Model 26 (280mm diameter only), and SPA Design Formula.
