The Summit Technologies Raptor Tempest Wireless Steering Wheel Button Control offers a revolutionary way to manage electrical systems in your vehicle without the need for coiled cables. This 8-channel wireless panel provides finger-tip control and features a sleek, OEM-like design specifically tailored to fit popular aftermarket steering wheels. The Raptor Tempest boasts a high-quality, textured polyurethane foam pad that is both waterproof and durable, making it ideal for open cockpit cars. With its fully wireless functionality, this device eliminates the need for coiled cables, providing a cleaner and more efficient experience. This advanced panel offers user-configurable button operation and can control up to 8 different channels. It's available in two versions: Clubman and Pro. The difference between the two models lies in the receiver, with the Clubman model using 12V relays for switching and the Pro model featuring a solid-state receiver with 12V 250mA regulated outputs that can be switched down to 5V logic level for PDM use. The wiring is integrated into the panel, eliminating snag or break risks. The resin-filled switches feature protective caps to ensure longevity and reliability. The panel is powered by a 3V CR2032 battery, which can be changed via the magnetic quick-release centre cap. The cap also features an LED that changes colour to display the current battery condition. The 12-volt receiver module has been developed to fit within a waterproof Deutsch enclosure, making it suitable for use in harsh environments. An 80cm long wiring loom with a 12-pin Deutsch connector provides flexibility in mounting. This device is fully user-configurable and each button can be set to perform as either a momentary, latching or flashing action. This allows the Raptor Tempest to control various functions, including lighting, horn, lap timers, traction control, launch control, wipers, fans, radio communication, and more. The Raptor Tempest can be configured for race use or as an IVA-compliant system for use on road cars. The race version has no preset channels and can be user-set to control whatever is required. When set to flashing action, the flash rate is pre-set at 4 times per second (4Hz) which is ideal for use as a 'flash to pass' function when connected to the headlights. A decal sheet with popular symbols such as PTT, rain light, flash, lock, TCS, NOS arm, and NOS fire is included. The road version is fully IVA-compliant and includes a decal sheet with IVA-recognised symbols for functions such as headlights, indicators, horn, hazard lights, wipers, washers, and more. The high-quality symbols fit neatly into the buttons to allow complete personalisation. The flash rate is pre-set at 2 times per second (2Hz), which is an IVA requirement. The Raptor Tempest includes a steering wheel button transmitter pad, 8-channel relay receiver, wiring loom with a 12-pin Deutsch connector, CR2032 battery, and decal sheet with 56 different decals. It's compatible with the following aftermarket steering wheels: OMP Targa, Sparco 383, Momo Team (300mm diameter only), Momo Model 26 (280mm diameter only), SPA Design Formula, and more.
