The AIM Motorsport PDM08 is an advanced power distribution module, designed to replace traditional fuse boxes and relays in vehicles. This 8-channel unit simplifies wiring harnesses while increasing reliability and control functions. The PDM08 can be used on its own or in combination with various dash display sizes: 5", 6", or 10". Additionally, it has the capability to receive data from a vehicle's ECU and includes a built-in data logger and GPS module for lap timing and track mapping. The PDM08 offers 8 high-side outputs, each rated up to specific amperages: 1 x 20A, 1 x 25A, and 6 x 15A. The total continuous maximum current is 100A. Each output provides feedback to the data logger, allowing for monitoring of open circuits, short circuits, high/low voltage, fault retries, and their respective time intervals. All outputs can be configured as PWM for soft start/stop functionality. The device's rugged aluminium case is designed to withstand harsh motorsport environments. The unit has several input options: 6 analogue/digital inputs and 2 speed inputs. It also supports data management from various sources, including the ECU (with over 1000 protocols available), digital/analogue inputs, internal 9-axis EMU, GPS for lap timing and position tracking, expansion modules, push buttons from RIO02 or any commercial CAN keypad, and PDM outputs for individual currents and statuses. The optional GPS09 module enables easy lap timing and track mapping with over 4000 race tracks pre-loaded in the database. Dash controllers are available with "Race" or "Street" icons for different applications, in 5", 6", or 10" sizes. For easier installation, a pre-assembled harness is also available separately. The PDM8's outputs provide essential information such as open/short circuits, high/low voltage, fault retries, and time between retries, all of which are user-definable. All circuit configurations can be set up and monitored via the RaceStudio3 software. The device comes with a 35 pin AMP connector and gold pins for simplified wiring.
