The SuperPro Front Lower Torque Arm Insert - Race - VW TORQUE INSERT 90 RACE KIT BUSHING KET is designed to replace the rubber bushes in existing engine mounts with a firmer polyurethane material, providing improved durability and traction. This upgrade enables the engine to move less excessively under acceleration, resulting in enhanced traction and more positive gear changes. Engine mounts are designed to balance insulation from vibrations and noise while allowing some flexibility for comfort. However, as power levels increase or driving becomes more aggressive, the rubber used can prove too soft, leading to excessive movement and reduced performance. The SuperPro insert replaces the original parts with firmer polyurethane, reducing engine rocking under load and ensuring that full torque is transmitted to the wheels. The benefits of using a firmer polyurethane material include improved traction, enhanced handling, and increased durability compared to the original rubber parts. The firmness of the polyurethane material reduces power loss, providing more positive gear changes and reduced noise and vibrations in the cabin. Three compounds are available: 70K SHORE is the softest compound, recommended for diesel engines or petrol engines with a softer feel than the original parts. 80K SHORE is a medium firmness compound suitable for sports/street use on most petrol-engined cars, offering an impressive degree of handling enhancement and NVH insulation. The 90K SHORE is recommended for track-use, providing the greatest degree of firmness improvement but transmitting more vibration into the cabin. The polyurethane material used in these inserts does not wear out with age like the original rubber parts, making it ideal either as a replacement for worn originals or as preventative maintenance on an older car. By replacing the original engine mounts with firmer polyurethane inserts, you can ensure improved handling and performance while reducing power loss.
